My own experience says the opposite. Did you ever fly a DVII without fuel problems? Those 24R/L3 are exilahrating!
so we have different experiences... that's part of the fun!
when i play a DVII i normally tend to get to the firefight the sooner possible. maybe starting with low fuel manouvers but heading rigth to the point. (and, i must admit, sometimes when flying against a DVII i tend to postpone the fight in order to get a possible advantage in the second part of the game. blame on me! )
