I think a challenge game is fine, but larger private games make the campaign contrived.
On another subject of interest, some of us should stop worrying so much about what is most fair or not, or if players are "abusing" the games and the campaign.
People are free to run whatever they want - this site is a free society. If anyone continues to take issue with those who exercise that free will, perhaps you should start a crusade over Checkers, while you are at it. It's my understanding that Black gets to move first and thus may have an "unfair" advantage.
It's a Beer and Pretzel hex game - not a crusade.
--- Message edited by Templars Are you referring to the squadron matches? Is that what that is? Squadron matches within the campaign? Sorry to jump to a conclusion there if that is the case - just wondered what that was about. --- Message edited by Templars We (Hissing Cats) are having a match up with GraysGhost Airborne Anarchy. However BlueDragon's detection system does not like anything more than "2010 Campaign" in the description. So we have to keep that simple and go by email. I know you are a good site member man - honestly didn't even notice you had hosted at first. Fortunately, my other comment has more merit. In other news, Germany lost it's current top ace today - news at 10! --- Message edited by Templars I posted a general challenge to all Squadrons from Airbourne Anarchy, and Hissing Cats have taken us up on it. The only way to ensure we can all fly is to make it a private game. Sorry for the confusion. Kit How does one join a squadron? Well we're full at the moment and no-one has indicated that they wish to leave. However I think that if you posted that you were available one of the older Squadra may contact you. Of course if you posted a message saying that you were starting a new Squadron you may get three other regular members. You really need four to make it work. I know BMBug is looking for a new Squadron. Well, I'm interested, too. If you want to do that (start a new squadron), Mad Bomber, and if you need the extra hands, I'd sign up. Well that makes three of us - one more and we have enough Stuart What about a name? Any suggestions? What about "The Misfits" "The Extraordinaries" "Squadron 007" "Flight of Fancy" "Flying Fools" Any appeal? We also need a fourth member. Stuart
OK. What about "Flying Misfits", suggesting as it does extremely high standards of silliness and good fun (and a passing reference to aviation)? Are you in, Mad Bomber? If you're in too, then I'll start a new thread - might grab more people's attention. Surely, however, we can fly as a three. Or don't opposing squadrons go in for that sort of thing? |
