I like the campaign and appreciate the great effort. You have single handedly injected some life into the game and site - and you are to be commended.
That said, I have one minor small complaint and suggestion for future applications.
The campaign would have more game meaning, if players stuck with one side or the other, rather than playing both sides. Allowing players to fly both sides, predictably, makes the final result rather meaningless.
I can see this system of yours having some real "drama and bite", as the war draws to a close. It would certainly make the final result more interesting, as leading pilots emerge from both sides.
Perhaps players will purposely choose their preferred side as the war comes to an end, and the desired effect will be self-fulfilling. Alternatively, perhaps since it is still early, players might consider choosing one side or the other - from this point on.
If you agree Bluedragon, and if the players are inclined to agree to honor system play one side or the other, I think you will have a much more interesting final result.
Thus far I have flown just for the Germans and will do so for the duration. If others do the same, despite earlier results, it will start to become common knowledge who is flying on which side.
Again, I hope you don't mind my thoughts here. Thank you again, for your effort and unique ideas.

I think that this is an excellent idea, though I do see a problem or two. As an Englishman I am honour bound to fly for England, but I fly better in German planes. For me there is therefore no choice.
If you make this a true war between the two sides what happens if the majority all choose one side? Those few flying for the other side are either going to be very busy, or you will have a large number of disappointed players.
I will therefore abide by the majority decision and in the meantime start no new games except for my preferred side.
