The point being made here (and you seem to have missed it) is that you have been on the site less than a month and you are already making suggestions on how to "FIX" the game. You have not bothered to check and see if anyone else has made a similar suggestion(which they have)and what sort of reception the suggestion recieved at the time it was made.
You will find that a lot of suggestions have been made, some good, some bad, some have been implemented, some have not. The site is Nick's, to do with as he pleases and it is HIS decision to implement new ideas as he sees fit.
Play the game the way you want to at YOUR house, but in THIS house, you play by THESE rules and if you don't care for them, then you are free to move on. Its my opinion that YOU will be the loser in that case.
So just how long do I have to play on this site before you find it acceptable for me to be able to post questions or suggestions on this forum?
The counter-point I was trying to make that while they think I have only a short experience with the game, I actually have quite a lot of experience with this game. I also know that changing the fuel rules does not significantly ater the play on the game.
And I only raised the issue here when the problem started to materialise in some of the games I was playing on this site.
Maybe my mistake was hastefully choosing a short subject name with the word "Fix" in it. The body of the message was a request to discuss and consider options, not "Lets do it my way."
The fact that the subject generated so much discussion, and has been discussed so many times before suggests that this is one of those subjects that just isn't going to go away.
I am not annoyed by the fact that the fuel probably won't changed in anyway. My previous response on this thread was acceptance of that. As I said, this is a great site and that is not the factor that will drive me away from it.
What annoys me is people who think that I don't have the right to ask questions or suggest ideas, especially in a period where someone just joins the site during which would be when they would be most excited and eager to contribute. |
