The point of the game is to shoot down the other guy. One on one, I want to shoot down the other guy, in multiplayer, I don't care who shoots down the other guy as long as he DOES get shot down.
I am playing the game to win of course, but in the multi player games I don't REALLY care if I have the most points or not, the team win is what is important to me. That said, I do think it would be a good idea to adjust the way victory points are given in team games. All of the members of the winning side should get a victory point and perhaps the top player on that side could get an extra point.
I agree with the quotation you used 100%. In a squadron game or sbadranga's Double Impact, winning as a team should have the highest priority. Nothing else is important. |
