I have to say that League scores would be some of the most meaningful stats in the game because of the playing all planes factor.
Any issue with retired honorably is balanced by its availability and necessity for all players.
I did poorly in my first tourny because I did not retire honorably when I should have. My play style is to stay on board to the bitter end, because I used to play for points. Staying on board gave my opponents more points from time to time, but ALWAYS gave me more points than exiting. Those points don't help much in league play. Board GAMES are always about performing well within the rules.

Not sure what you mean by this. The fact that you have to play ALL games with ALL players will tend to remove the confounding variables, I think. (though, I guess you could play only one type of league - but still - you must play ALL sides). And though we can look at who won each league, we really can't see how everyone placed, since the "leagues ended" lists everyone in alphabeticall order, so there is no indication of placement, unless you click on each league directly.
