I like the idea of summarizing league results; leagues played, leagues won, total league points, etc. But, please, no more scoring systems! The existing ones have sufficient problems.
Yeah, I agree, but there needs to be a way to normalize league results. Right now we just now if you won a league. You may have placed second in hundreds. As well, if we just use league placement (ie 1st, 2nd 3rd...) that average will tend to bias against leagues with more players.
I guess we could normalize all to a score out of 100. First is worth 1 point, last is worth 100 points, and distribute the remainder within this rank. Again, it is a "scoring system" - but the only point is to remove the bias caused by various size leagues.
Speaking of stats, another useful stat would be "how often your side wins"
Course, as we all know, statistics are for losers... guess I need to get a life  |
