I love Aces High (as people can probably tell from the amount of times I mention it!).

I think it captures the life of a squadron beautifully, and I think it's quite moving at the end. It has a few clichés along the way, but the combat scenes are good, the acting is great, and I think the final battle scene is quite impressive.

It's my favourite WW1 flying film, and for me beats the Hollywoody Blue Max by far. Particularly because it centres around an SE5 squadron
