No need to get angry Ashtar,
is it agreable to shoot down dry or engineless pilots?
Yes, I will happily shoot down every gliding duck I can point my guns to... bad luck, lack of skill or both stripped you of any possibility of maneuvering, too bad for you my dear...
is it honorable? Waht about sportsmanship?
Surely not, but who cares? This is war, not some Olympic games, I doubt that in real life the Knights of the Air where all that knightly.. Unless an opponent did clearly surrender it was dead meat...
Too bad someone exits from the wrong side?
Yes, but as the rules allows it I won't complain about it, and usually the 50% points penality is enought to lose the game anyway. In real life i believe most pilots would glide behind enemy lines rather than being shot up in the air. Better prisoner than dead. In this case our german friends were left with a bad taste in their mouth as the damned enemy glided down rather than be killed, they may have the moral victory, as they will fly another day bur the allied will not, but victory in the sky was his nevertheless. You cannot replicate this on a single dogfight, we'll have to wait for a campaign system for that, and even then, I'll believe that the chance to be lost after landing behind enemy lines would be smaller than the chance to be killed on crashlanding... (70% to 90%) I'd say... Until then if you want a realistic point system, play in leagues, if your plane exits from the wrong side is considered lost, otherwise you're considered still onboard... Good if the argument is who won, bad if what you really want is a turkey shoot...
As I said, nothing to get angry about, it's just an opinion about a GAME after all

If we'll ever play togheter, just say "Own side exit only please" I'll be more than happy to comply....
Ciao
