The Yahoo groups would be an option, but perhaps it would overwhelm them with extra posts etc?
Since my Web skill is not too strong, and I hate admin works, so I suggest yahoo groups, but your concern is well justified.
1) I could set up a dedicated e-mail address on chimpage.com for every squadron, with all e-mails for that squadron automatically being forwarded to a single e-mail address, or if desired every squadron member's e-mail address. That way, when you want to challenge a squadron you just e-mail the one address and every member should see it. Using this method we could create passworded games.
It is by far the best option, only if it won't hinder your already too-busy schedule
2) Alternatively, I could create a mini forum and add it to the squadron pages. Each squadron would have it's own "thread" so that you can place challenges there etc. The only problem with this would be that it would be another forum to monitor, which would be time consuming, and it would take people away from the you play it forum..... At the same time, I don't want to overwhelm the you play it forum with squadron related postings (as we already have done a little ). At the same time, it's important to keep a profile in case anyone wants to set up a new squadron or join an existing one I prefer the 1st one, keep eyes on two forum...
P. Personally I think the e-mail address option might be the best one, which would use the passworded game function.
Has anyone any other ideas? |
