Take it easy. The squadron games is still in testing. We are just having an trial and error.
May be we can make use of the current two Youplay group in Yahoo.
WWI and BLueMax1918campaign
What do u guy think? Lords? Do u think it will be more feasible?

The Yahoo groups would be an option, but perhaps it would overwhelm them with extra posts etc?
As an alternative there's a couple of possibilities we could consider:
1) I could set up a dedicated e-mail address on chimpage.com for every squadron, with all e-mails for that squadron automatically being forwarded to a single e-mail address, or if desired every squadron member's e-mail address. That way, when you want to challenge a squadron you just e-mail the one address and every member should see it. Using this method we could create passworded games.
2) Alternatively, I could create a mini forum and add it to the squadron pages. Each squadron would have it's own "thread" so that you can place challenges there etc. The only problem with this would be that it would be another forum to monitor, which would be time consuming, and it would take people away from the you play it forum..... At the same time, I don't want to overwhelm the you play it forum with squadron related postings (as we already have done a little ). At the same time, it's important to keep a profile in case anyone wants to set up a new squadron or join an existing one
Personally I think the e-mail address option might be the best one, which would use the passworded game function.
Has anyone any other ideas? |
