| Message text Now I'm embarassed... nevertheless, thanks for the kind words!
Obviously luck plays a large role in such games. My stats are pretty poor - and although I am starting to get a decent grip on the rules, I'm still amazed by the skill of some pilots. I certainly have much to learn. In fact, it was only because I had been trying to break the 200 line for some time (and am thus no ace yet) that I overreacted and fell to boasting!
One thing I've noticed about the really good pilots: instinct, and perhaps even luck, seem to play a key role in their arsenal. Sometimes I'm tailed and there are 3 possible moves, and so I pick one randomly (there is thus no possibility of the more experienced pilot 'reading' me) - and yet they still manage, 80% of the time to make the right move!
Hats off!
