To follow up on sven3012's comment, if providing previews of where opponent's pieces might land is too helpful, then by the same logic the system shouldn't provide previews of where our own pieces will land. We should do it all in our heads!
Personally, I'd rather let the computer do what the computer does best, and not have to do manual labor to play games.
He has a good point - its nice to see where your plane will end up with the shadow. I think he's simply asking for the same thing and I agree that though we can all add or subtract, its nice to have a calculator. We can all figure which hex we will be in but its nice that the program does it for you so you can concentrate on the thinking part of the game. |
