| Message text Well, it's sliding into a joke now, so maybe the webmasters have their wish and the whole episode will be forgotten and the cheating can quietly go on.
Personally, I resent the implication about "paranoia," since it belittles the whole thing.
We saw blatant, wild-assed cheating, followed by bragging about records. The behavior hurt a lot of the enjoyment people feel about this site and damaged their ability to like the people they fly/fight with.
We have receieved a so-called "apology" and it is supposed to be over with. Troll made an excellent suggestion-- spine{ } (fill in the blank of your choosing) should exit himself and his clones from all the games they are participating in-- this has not happened.
Nor did the apology ever actually admit to anything...just "I won't do it again." (Won't do WHAT?)
So to be treated as paranoids and complainers and "beating a dead horse" types puts the shame on US for spotting and daring to complain about this behavior, instead of on the perpetrator in enforcing his compliance with what I thought were very "fair" terms.
So go on. Ignore the problem. "Welcome" him back-- even tho he has done nothing to regain your trust.
The result you--players and webmasters-- get will be the result you've worked to achieve by accepting bad behavior and not bothering to enforce any change in behavior. Don't blame the puppy for peeing on your shoes-- you have taught him it's okay. |
