I really can't imagine what kind of men are needed to decide in a split second wether to stall or not, just in front of an enemy firing plane while another enemy plane is approaching.
Two kind of men: those who stall and those who survice.

BTW:
a recreation of a First World War dogfight except that Franklin's plane had been customized with a jet engine strapped below its fuselage.
Biplanes are bad, jet biplanes are worse.
