Hello to all subscribed teams

As we have only 6 teams and half at the moment, Longneck has suggested to change the tournament format (see here: http://www.youplay.it/play/forum_showmessage.asp?msgid=101228 )

If *everybody* subscribed so far agrees, this is how the new format would be:

First Phase - Round Robin
Every team plays 2 games against all other teams, switching sides.
All these games are played simultaneously - so every team will be playing 14 games at the same time, 7 games playing England, 7 games playing France, each of the seven games against a different team.
Every game is scored using League Scoring (Victory 3 points, Overwhelming Victory 4 points, Draw/Tie 1 point, etc.).
Teams will be ranked by "league points" and the 4 Top Teams will advance to the second Phase.
If there are multiple teams with the same number of "league points" on the 4th place, the one with most "game points" (points you scored inside each game) will advance.

Second Phase - Direct Elimination
The four teams will be paired to play semi-finals, according to their rank on first phase: p1 vs p3, p2 vs p4.
Each semi-final is composed by two games, with teams switching sides.
Sum of game points of the two games determines the winner team of each semi-final.
The two teams winning semi-finals will play the final using the same rules as the semi-finals (two games, sum of points).

Pros:

Every team gets to play against every other team

Everyone plays more games

Cons:

During the first phase, everybody has to play 14 games at the same time

Everybody will have to wait for the longest games of the first phase to finish before playing Second Phase
