Hi all,

It is Xmas (again). Youplay have passed it 7th Anniversary. May be a time for a review. In the year of 2010.

Here is the site Improvement:

1. Forum will be divided in topics, one or more for each game type,
2. Forum: The in game message system will be replaced by a message thread system, very similar to the current forum, with notification of new messages posted in you games,
3. Forum: Full text search in the whole forum topics.

4. System: Instead of waiting for 24 hours between each move, now they move in one or two minutes.

5. Layout change: in these days we changed the layout of many buttons, trying to enhance a little the usability of the site.

But the real effort was aimed to change the in game messaging system. Starting from now on, the new games will start using a different messaging system in the game pages. The relevant changes are:

The messages are now organized in a thread so you can reply to specific message.

A yellow message at the top of the page will alert you when new messages were added in the thread since your last visit to the page.

Adding a new message will not relaod the page, losing any choice you made for your move.

6. New Game: Gonzaga, players must get into the expansionist spirit of the times and build fiefdoms across Europe to stake a claim on harbors and cities while also trying to complete secret missions. The game lasts 7-12 rounds, and players are competing in some of six regions in Europe. (Thanks Fineturno!)

7. New Option in BlueMax: more fuel for all planes and Area Placement
You can now assign double or 5 times more fuel to each planes. (Thanks Gugliandalf suggestion)
Area Placement option in Blue Max. If you created a game and select this option, your can place your plane in a limited area of the map.

8. Stat: to help you choose the right scenarios to play, we've added two new columns to the Blue Max statistics page: http://youplay.it/play/bm_Stats.asp
Popularity will tell you how often this scenario is played.
Balance will tell you if a scenario is balanced or one side have some advantage. This value is not calculated for unpopular scenarios for which there are too few played games.

For me, I am now recovering from a sickness of my eyes. So gaming time would be shorten, but with the help of many of you. This year I don't need to do any moderation (remove/alter any single message), so it screw up my annual review and no pay rise this year Although Nick just pay me cyber beer only .
