Last ship floating is of course wrong based on the original rules of the game, and, based on what is documented on this site as the rules, the rules clearly state most points. I realize some like like ship standing, that's great, but, if the intent is to be like the original board game, that is wrong. Even if this was intentional change, then the rules are wrong as they say most points. So, something is wrong no matter your point of view.
For the pirate scenarios, the impact is you will never, ever win as the French (or shouldn't at least). That is to say, for the > 5 ship ones. I can win 100% of the games, no matter who I play with the pirates given those rules. If I played 1,000 times, I would win 1,000 times. So, you should either correct the game "win" problem, or, eliminate those scenarios as they are simply awful with these new rules. It did not work this way on the old site.
With the rules the old way and to me correct way, they are pretty balanced.
Please correct, one way or the other. |
