litehoof: 20 years online. (Btw, same alias the whole time.) I'm fairly aware of the pitfalls of different aspects of this online world.
GrasGhost: Exactly.
Being that computers is your job I'm sure that you are aware of the pitfalls of the internet. I just find it amusing that when ever someone wants to prove a point that they quote Wiki. Especially since wiki is knowledge compiled by the masses and presented as truth. I was doing some research on WWII. Specifically I was looking at death tolls for the various combatants. Wiki numbers were off by miles and depending on how I phrased my search it gave different answers as I pulled down entries.( total casulaties said one thing for hungry, bulgaria, etc. while axis casualties said something different and bulgaria said yet a third) The scientific discussion that you pulled out sounds perfectly valid. I would rather have seen it come from a science journal or a college book than the Wiki.
