I would rather see Nick pay more attention to fixing other issues in the game and bringing more options into play, than bothering with such a trivial matter.

This is a reasonable arguement for most games, we all play for fun. However, when people are playing in leagues you need to track who has won or lost games and you need a fair system to track this.
