I've been thinking the same thing. Drifting adds quite a bit to the game, but with the current bugs I can do without boarding.


Yes, it is too easy in the Simplified games, where you or your opponent gain position and then elect to "camp out" for all eternity. Takes away from the complexity of, and hence the skills required to successfully play, the original game.
With the threat of drift, you have to always be paying attention to which ship moved and which did not on previous turns.
