Funny you should mention Siena - when I was there at Easter I noticed that the Police had the Winged Horse on the doors of the cars as their emblem.
I collect the images of winged horses where I find them, but when I tried to photograph it the Police were not helpful. I have the Mayenne Winged Horse (near Laval in France) and a variety of others and it is unlikely that I’ll get back to Siena for a while.
Can you help me with this? Can you get me an image of the Siena Winged Horse.
Many thanks,

Kit,
Siena is 200 kms to the north from here, anyway you must tell me which police it was: the town's of Siena Police, the shire police, the national police, or a private police?
Anyway you were lucky to be there in Easter and not in the period of a Palio (2 of July and 16 of August), since in that days you have to mind to the colors you wear, since, if they are of an enemy Contrada, they can cause you to be dragged in a fist fight. That's Siena in which you should never give up any chance to fly the flags of your Contrada. |
