The was an edition in which they had printed different move sheets, grouping the moves in speed groups (it was mainly according to hexes moved), so that all stalls were speed 1, all moves moving 1 hex were speed 2 and so on (regardless of the last number of the move code.. i.e. 2s1 and 2s2 were both speed 2).
You are correct, the last number in the manuver was the furl used, not the speed. All stalls are speed 1 and all 1 hex moves are speed 2, etc.
I miss the altitude rules and spin chances.
