Ask docmortand about canvas Eagles
Yeah, I've put together a game using the Wings of War minis, and a hex map I bought online. The website to get everything you need (including all the charts...and there are some significant changes!) is here:
http://www.eaglesmax.com/Enjoy - I love it myself, and now that Wings of War came out with their bombers I've been checking out the observer rules...the guns are a lot more finicky, but can fire FORWARD, in a 360 degree arc, but only in so many situations (I.E. forward you can only shoot at planes above you, etc...it all makes sense).
Since I believe the observer guns were actually on rails for ease of rotation, does anyone know if the observer guns could fire forward (and up?)
I still love it...the altitude rules are pretty easy, but change the dynamic of the game immensely. Have fun...

Thanks Doc, Been in a game aquisition frenzy lately. Especially with mini's and the old 70's stuff: Imperium, ST.SHIP TR., old Traveller books, the works.(ask moonglum001 or clangador) I'm a "bit" of a collector(hoarding packrat)and afficianado (O.C.D. addict) when it comes to wargame/RPG's etc. especially the older stuff.
I had heard of "C.E.'s" but was under the impression it was a "B.M" ripoff or a "Dawn Patrol" clone.
I'll have to give it a fair looking over now, especially if 3D miniature play is a viable option for adding depth to the system (assuming that like most "war" war-games it needs or is bettered by some).
I'm gonna check it out and give it a fair shake this time.
Thanks again Doc.

....And tell me more about this "Wings of War", You say?
