I have long noticed a tendency for many games to have one or two "favorite" chits which occur much more often than the averages would suggest. This seems most apparent in league games, where the games all start at the same time. I have been in more than one league which included two-seaters, and in which the majority of observers were killed before the end of the league. I once watched a friend play five turns in five league games. Before starting, he stated that the league was generating "a lot of '3 Engine' hits". In the five turns played, he took one or more Red chits in four games. The first chit in each draw was; '3 Engine' (and in the one turn in which he took three Red hits, a second '3 Engine' occurred).
Personally, I am convinced that there is a significant problem in the way damage chits are drawn. Stated simply; damage chits tend to run in patterns or common occurrences within a game. This should not happen.
It may be noted that the site also fails to implement the stated method in which damage chits should be drawn (i.e. all chits are drawn before any are replaced). |
