Message text Sounds to me like a definite bug. IIRC, in the original game rules, you drew all your damage chits at once. I believe all damage chits were unique, therefore you could not have more than one gun destroyed in one turn. This also applies to the 'kill' chits. I can't remember if there's a 'Pilot Killed' blue chit, but I do know there's an 'Observer Killed' blue. We were having such a problem with observers dying in our live game, we re-assigned all death chits to reds. Since we tracked pilots in a kind of campaign mode, this effectively doubled the life expectancy of an observer from 2 to 3 missions, to a whopping 6 to 8. We figured this translated from 1 to 3 days in actual service to maybe a week. That still seems a bit short on the average to me.
