I note we have the option of doing a long burst at zero range.
I know how this works for the pilot. I have never seen it happen for the observer.
Can it?
The only possibility would seem to be if the planes "share" the same hex and the enemy plane is going faster than the 2 seater and ends up pointed at the 6 o'clock position. Is this how the observer gets a zero range shot?
i seem to recall this situation coming up in board game situations we had a house rule...that if the aircraft occupied the same hex as the two seater the observer would have a range 0 shot if the aircraft entered the hex from other than blind hex directly astern of the two seater...or...if entering from the blind hex astern the aircraft did not have the same facing as the two seater
it did not happen very often and the ruling was experimental...but seemed to work out well |
