I'd like a good strategic simulation but that's probably only available in a single person game.
Word of Warships is a blow em up type of game. You are captain of a single ship of your team of 15 ships. Lots of options to outfit your ship, and if you can act as a team with the rest of your squadron, you should do well.
Keep the graphics settings on Low, and you should do fine with it. Its from the same people that brought us World of Tanks, which I still have a mild addiction to.
In both WoW and WoT the most fun for me is team play. Was in a clan for a while, top 100 in fact, but like most of those clans, it broke up and I ran out of time anyways. Nothing like an organized rush of Heavy and Medium tanks with a good caller on TeamSpeak.
I'm ElectroZman online. Look me up and lets team up together.
--- Message edited by Electro Naval Action is an MMO in the Woodenships era. You start as a lowly Cutter w/ your choice of Nation and Home port in Carribbean. Can do missions or battles. Can trade for materials and build ships. Ships can be upgraded, including choice of guns (size and type). Mostly it is tactical sailing and blasting, but in large battles it is up to the teammates to decide on strategies. Experience and gold gained allow you to advance to superior Ships, etc. So the same as World of Warships, just a century or so apart. Got a long weekend coming up. I'll give it a try (if it's Free) Naval action you have to buy for $50 to play on alpha right now Are you only interested in naval? I also love WWII tanks and tactics, but only have so much time for gaming... Combat Mission series is a good one for tanks. Until I switched to a MAC, I was able to support the graphics but, like you, my feeble old DELL is very limited. The "Mad Minute" people have excellent Civil War games like Gettysburg and 2nd Manassas (with an Antietam bonus). Since I can't play them anymore on my MAC, I have downloaded the demo for 2nd Manassas and it does not overwhelm my old shit=box. Its free. It includes a tutorial and one of the actual battle scenarios from the full game. That scenario offers an almost unlimited amount of variation within its confines. You can save your game and return at your own convenience. The action is "live" not turn based and unfolds in real time. Very different from WS If you don't like Civil War, then forget it. If you do, check it out. If you like it, let me know and I can accelerate your learning curve
Thx for the info, but I have never been much into the Civil War. |
