I personally hate the Se5. No lateral stall and no super-tight turns. Once its lost its restricted moves and its Speed 3/4, its a sitting duck. I'd sooner have a Camel mostly.
Also, try flying it on an 8x8 board... that'll drop it in the rankings!
The observer is also the only good thing about the Bristol. Ok, against one Alby, it wins, but against two, the Alby's really should be able to work together well enough to finish it...

Sticking up for my S.E.5a
Agree the 8x8 isn't the S.E.5a's playground of choice, However, adding in dammage changes all the planes. Lose 6 fuel on a DVII and its time to check for the way home. The S.E.5a with both no restricted and 34 speed is weak, making it a bit of a fragile plane to begin with, BUT if I have flown it well my German counterpart will be sucking fumes at the very least or dammaged far worse then I "Unless Ksnake and I are playing in which case all we do is roll 1's anyways

If you take an S.E.5a and D.Va both with no 34 and no rest you are back to the begining, the D.Va handles better but the S.E5a hits harder.....1 game 1 dir roll not a big diference, 100 games 100 die roles I think it is... that is why I like the S.E.5a just a little "LITTLE" bit better
