I didn't see a good one this year, though to be honest, I had my eye stuck in a video camera most of the time, trying to see just that. Last time, two years ago, one of the Dr1's did a flat 180 turn overhead, and it was just beautiful. Just4Fun and I were watching it, and when it did that turn, we both were just awed. I've always loved the tripes, anyway, and I decided then and there, it would always be my favorite. No matter how sucky it is in Bluemax, (and probably in real life) it's still a beautiful plane to watch.
We had to be standing just a few feet from one another at some point. I was the fat guy with the Colts jersey, and shaved head, lugging around my video camera, and digital camera.  |
