| Message text Well, I understood your original question and hope you did not get too much flak (excuse, "archie") from folks who were just tired of it.
I certainly understand wanting to fly two planes each in a face to face, "just the two of us" matchup, whether it is BM or WoW. One plane on one plane games in both can--depending on the planes-- be pretty dull (assuming most players actually want to get a shot off some of the time.)
One of the great things about this site is that you don't need to do that-- just start a scenario (hopefully one that is fair and balanced) and it will fill up with players from all over the world. That's major cool.
But yes, I understand the "joy" of shooting at personal friends too, and you can password any scenario you want to so that only people you know (or invite) can be in it. If everyone in the game is running two planes and knows everyone else is, I don't see the harm in it.
Yeah, it would be possible for some folks to be talking on the phone, exchanging e-mails, etc. and cheating that way. It will cost them a lot of time doing that, and most of the "regular" people here seem to be playing about as many active games as they can possibly handle. The idea of holding off on turns while waiting for my buddy to e-mail me his tailing info is painful for me to think about.
But then, I do have a job and a family and a life. BM is a nice little treat for me. Of course i want it to be fun! (and I've no time to beat horses, living or otherwise.)
