Not all sofware related patents are bad, that's the purpose of the Patent Offices to ensure that the one granted are OK. It's not because the US doesn't manage to get it right (understaffed USPTO), that Europe is doing the same. However, the European Patent Office is still looking for qualified candidates (native of a member country, Master degree in science, English + German + French spoken) More details in http://www.european-patent-office.org/epo/jobs/index.en.php
So, if you do not want sofware related patents, just join the EPO and help refuse the bad applications (on a legat basis, of course) |
