One company that sells miniature planes is
Skytrex
http://www.skytrex.com/
They are based in England, and sell for about $6.00 (U.S.) each, these are lead and 144th Scale, or perhaps 2" (50mm) long.

These are almost perfect for Blue max on a table top...

There is at least one more company making lead figures of WWI aircraft, and one doing them in resin. I can't remember who they are off hand.
