Be scared, be very scared - I've had an idea.....
Could you amend your system to count the number of each scenario used that has the title, 2011 Campaign Jan 17?
Yes.
Can it also count the plane types that have been shot down?
Yes.
You could then state in your weekly email how many of each scenario can be played, and that can be dictated by planes shot down and plane production.
Then the first few scenarios with specific planes that end that month count, others do not.
Would be unfair on players who create the game too late, or finish after everyone else, but it would mean that there is less reliance on new planes and pilots have to use the majority plane that is available.
I think that if the plane availability idea is used, game creation might be handled by the software so that people do not create scenarios only to see them discarded afterwards. Automatic game creation could also be tied to another feature I had in mind: choosing on which sector you (or your squadron) will fly. The number of people who choose to fly in a particular sector will influence how much the scenario will be crowded / numerically balanced
By automatic game creation I mean that the campaign software will create all games for the campaign. A few games will be created every day and people will just join them. |
