One note on retiring off the wrong side, the times when I have was because of a stuck rudder or occasionally an irresponsible move sequence under those conditions. Its sad that people would do this on purpose instead of taking a chance getting shot but I would not penalize those forced to to get at those who would do it in a manner of cowardice.
There's nothing wrong with getting off the board - but off your own side, not skipping out of the side of the playing area - that's what I disagree with.
That is cowardice of the first order as it means that you are playing the gap in the programming not the game.
It states quite clearly in the rules that players should attempt to get off their side of the board.
You write this as if you are disagreeing with me but that is exactly what I mean. I was only saying that sometimes you cannot help it due to a rudder jam. Trying to penalize those of cowardice will get those with no choice in the matter.
