I'm new to BM, so maybe I didn't understand the rules correctly but I found in several games that my plane was not firing even though I expected it to do so. I joined a couple of games so far and in almost all of them I checked the long burst boxes for all ranges, not knowing about the dreaded jamming until recently. So maybe this is the reason for my problems but as the original poster mentioned only if jamming is not always correctly displayed.
In this game (Advanced Blue Max Game 508228, Turn 12) I believe my plane should have fired but I didn't get a message.

12. Da_Ace fired at dariovarese, distance 2 with no deflection. 4 points. Damage BB (Base:4,Stall:+2,1Gun:-2,Dice:+5).
Can't see anything wrong here.
