Well, around 6 months ago, I swear the same thing was happening to me. It was usually in Brittania, once, it was against Avallega and it happened 3 turns in a row. In one move, it was quite obvious I would not move next to his largest ship and face direct at him to suffer a HDT8 rake.
However, never happened since. All my Lake Erie games have worked fine.
Maybe it's age.
Glad to hear it has happened to others. Thought the voices in my head were running the show again.
