Derek Whipple took first place in Wooden Ships and Iron Men at the World Boardgameing Championships sponsored by the Boardgame Players Association held in Lancaster, PA, USA in early August.
That's a mouthful, but what it means is that not only is Derek a formidable force in the Youplay.it version of WS&IM, but he is the best in the face to face, over the gameboard, full rules version of the game.
