I would argue that since the points had already been awared they NOT be taken away, hence the score should be 61-22 in favour of my opponent.
I believe the scoring is close as is. You did not score triple points. In the original board game, double points was given since now you have a ship that you can take back "home", so, you gained even more benefit than simply sinking a ship. Since the ship was struck, that benefit is lost. What has transpired since game start? You lost 2 ships, him 1. You would have 22, he should have the 2 ships valued at 39 I guess. I don't see where you get your scores from.
Score should be 39 (if that is the value of your 2 lost ships) to 22 (if that is the value of his 1 lost ship), so, you should be losing.
This is a scoring bug indeed.
I guess what the program is doing is simply zeroing the captured score, not realizing that the ship was sunk. As you lost 2 ships, him 1, no way you can be ahead! I agree. |
