Both games are very different but I find them both excellent.
Pandemic is a cooperative game where 2 to 4 players try to cure 4 diseases before the world is overrun. It is simple to play but difficult to win, especially with 4. It is been a hit with both gamers and non-gamers and even my two children, ages 6 & 5, are able to play with us.
Twilight Struggle is more of a gamer's game. I have not played it enough yet to get a good feel of all the strategy involved but the early opinion is that it is a tense 2 player struggle with a bit of an edge to the Soviet player. If you like CDGs, this is a must have.
