The wish I made is my thoughts of those events. Sometimes I do think we are too remote/far away for what happened around us. Originally I thought "cyber space" can bring people closer.
But after years of thoughts and research, this is my founding.
It is not cyber space bring people closer, it is the PEOPLE using internet bring we closer.
It is not the nature torture people on earth, but we torture the environment and thus it give us a natural feedback of our actions. (thinks of the food/energy/resource wastage everyday)
Be frank, I am 2 thousands miles away from the centre of the quake, we have enough TV/News/Gossip about the quake and I don't want to spam you guys 
Also, I think that if we can take care of ourselves, take care of those beloved one around us. WE HAVE ALREADY CONTRIBUTED TO THE WORLD AS A WHOLE.
Think of it, I can take care myself, so my father and mother (family) and friend won't need to worry me. => they can have some 'spare' time to worry some other stuff.
And if EVERYONE on the earth can take care of themselves and don't need other to worry. We can now shift our focus to those around us and the environment 
If you have some spare money, instead of donate it, I would prefer to keep it for yourself and spend less.

Or if you really have some spare money, after you donate to the sites ( ... er ... you know I am the moderator ), you may donate to those charity nearby you that best fit your style, your vision. (RedCross, Church ..., I think RedCross will relocate the resource to where best need it)
