| | Message text Yeah, I have it and used to play it alot many years ago. If you are familiar with the Air Force or Dauntless games for WWII originally by Battline and later by Avalon Hill, Wings is pretty similar. Other games that are similar are Aces High and Red Baron for WWI.
The game is more complex than BM in that you have to plot each movement point expended. Each plane has several ratings for stall/cruising/maximum speed as well as power/brakes and climb/dive ability depending on what altitude category you are in (there are several). It also rates each plane by how many straight moves must be made before a turn or a slip, etc.
It's a good game and has lots of interesting game info such as the power rating and climb/dive ability for comparing the different plane types, but I would have to rate it pretty low for solo play. It is also not as easy to learn for new players.
