What's the "best" allied aircraft and why?
Depends on the pilot. I like the SE5a. It is tough, reasonably maneuverable and fast.
I am going to guess that alot of pilots will choose the Sopwith Snipe, and it is an excellent aircraft. Extremely maneuverable, fast and it has ALOT of fuel.
As a historian however, I tend to be somewhat of a "purist" about WWI aircraft. The Snipe and the SSIII/IV saw very little combat.
