Message text It's probably just me, so I will attempt to minimize my obnoxious comments.
I don't understand peoples aversion to statistics. A win loss record gets you to the Super Bowl, the World Cup, or any international chess championship. Even losers enjoy statistics, because it allows them to know who to respect.
I don't know how many games I have ever played with Halberstadt or Gladiator. I do know that they are experienced old hands at this game, thanks to the statistics page. I would give their opinions more weight than some others. darken kicks me around the airfield, so I go check out his stats, and see that it is no fluke.
So, some people get quite wealthy based on statistics and get quite far in life. And yes, no body asked George W. Bush his statistics in online games, but if they had payed more attention to the rest of the statistics of his life, he and Al Gore might not have been considered a 50/50 choice. No intent to start a political debate, it is just a resume that more people would be familiar with.
Now I will completely agree with you that someone who plays only games to make their stats look good may have issues to be dealt with. |
