The wingman issue that always surprises me, is the lack of cornering an opponent. There are times when the opponent can only end up in 3 different locations. Looking at your allied pilots positions you can figure out who can get where, and then take the appropriate move yourself, to insure that the enemy gets shot. It almost never gets done...
I concur on the shot out engine point. I have seen times when myself or another were knocked out, and the team mates are dodging around, as if anyone was coming after them???
Maybe it is a personal bias, but I don't understand the taking on an appropriate amount of the fighting. I have seen players far from combat on large fields, which is no help. I certainly don't value the wingman who goes straight up the middle to get shot by 3 while only shooting one. That is one less wing man to help win the fur ball. I prefer smaller fields where you cant avoid the fight, and the German fuel restriction is not as important.
Good flying all!
Very good points. I think you have the right of it! |
