Those lopsided scenarios are good for training missions. I've flown against newbies in the lesser planes. It gives them a chance. Plus they feel good when they beat a veteran pilot.
agreed they can be good and as leagues they are great fun too. the problem only comes when people over use them while potentially disillusioning newbies, but the aim here is to have fun and if you enjoy playing that way then fine. i know i played a fair few lopsided scenarios in the better plane when i started, to learn how to play. fortunately there were some good players (notably zif and falconfab)who took the opportunity to shoot me down despite the advantage i had, it taught me that the pilot is more important than the plane....
