After yesterday, USA should not comment about how other countries / places conduct their business when it comes to democracy and handling of protests.



What was surprising was how quick CNN labeled the participants rioters instead of protestors. If this happens elsewhere in the world they would have called them protestors and denounce any use of force from the authorities. No big fuss was made with the police shooting inside the Capitol building. Some of you on this site know where I originally came from and what happened there in last couple years.

Few news network also mentioned the multitude of standards of how the protests / riots were handled in DC over the last few months. The multiple standards they have seems to have let to the lack of preparations from the authorities.

Anyhow once the US bordering crossing reopened for leisure crossing, I won't mind going to the Longhorn Steakhouse on Military Trail at Niagara Falls NY again. I managed to go for the last time in Feb 2020, a month before the pandemic lockdowns hit. Their steaks are cheaper and better than the local steakhouse even after factoring the gas $$ and the 1.5 hrs drive each way in.
