Squad Cup II will begin in about two weeks. This is the official sign up post.
The final scenario choice will not be decided upon, until a majority of entries are submitted.
With certainty, the scenario will either be; "10 player All things being equal" or "8 player Equilibrium maintained". If 10 player is chosen, naturally, you will need a minimum of 5 active pilots to participate. The map size will be small 8 x 10, and automove will be set at 5 days. If 8 player is chosen, then the only difference will be the map size - which will be 8 x 8 to end games sooner.
Please indicate that you are entering your squadron by posting below. When signing up, please indicate if you wish to enter 2 entries or 1. Only enter 2 entries, if you have a minimum of 8 active players in your squadron.
An example:
Flying Tigers
2 entries
or
Hissing cats
1 entry
I am leaning towards flying the 8 player game and allowing two entries per Squadron. If this occurs, Squadrons with multiple entries will not be allowed to switch from their respective wings. For example, we have 10 pilots in the Flying tigers. If I fly two wings, I will allocate 5 to each wing, and 4 of those 5 will fly in the tournament each game. I could break it up as 6 to 4 as well, so long as the 4 only fly in their wing, and the 6 do likewise.
I think the addition of flying two separate wings in the tournament would enrich the experience overall. If this happens, Squadrons with two entries will be paired in opposite brackets and be listed as for example FLYING TIGERS 1, AND FLYING TIGERS 2.
I also would like to start a trend here. Seeing that the Flying Tigers won the first Squad Cup, it seems logical that we should run the second one. I think it proper that whichever squadron wins the second cup, do the same for Squad Cup 3 and so on. I think that we should stick with the planes we are using for future scenarios as well. This is a must for fairness of balance of play for future Squad tournaments.
Lastly, depending on entries, the final decision to make it the 5 on 5 version, still remaims a distinct possibility.
Looking forward to seeing you all in the air.

Instead of fixing the scenario. I have a suggestion. you just limit the pilots for each side for e.g. 4 vs 4 games.
Then give them a bunch of choice of scenario to choose.
The Squad cup runs as follow.
1 squad(A) choose the scenario, another squad(B) choose side.
Then Squad (B) choose scenario and then squad (A) choose side.
Based on the result of this two games, a final game is set by the winning side (based on Kill/death, points), but let the losing team to choose side.
And all the results of the 3 games will be use to decide who can go for the next round.
Or using the Ladder system, where each period all squad is facing one each other.
The 2nd period, the winning team will group into one and then the losing team will be another group. Each facing the Squad in the same group.
Then the 3rd period will be the winning team of the winning team comes up, and so on.
So for example after 7 period. There will be a squad got 7 win, 1-2 team got 6 win 1 lose, and 3-4 team got 5 win 2 lose. etc.
If it is still the cup system as before, Tomdog will wait for another chance

... Our pilots didn't like too balanced scenario.

er .... okay I confess. Parker don't like balanced scenario
