Message text I was just about to move in a game (http://www.youplay.it/play/bm_GameMove.asp?GameID=270921 when I saw what appeared to be a bug. An aircraft which was on fire shot at my plane. So I got ready to send in another bug report.
First, I checked the rules. Sure enough, in the Damage section there was the prohibition against shooting when on fire; “Fire: The aircraft’s engine is on fire. Place a fire marker on the plane. A player whose aircraft is on fire may not tail, shoot his guns, or perform restricted maneuvers.” However, continuing the search, in the Observers section I found; “The observer may fire even if his aircraft is on fire.”
Since I have gone on record in both the WSIM and Blue Max forums requesting corrections to the code or the rules where there was a disagreement, it seemed only right to acknowledge when the on-site published rules had actually been modified to reflect a site change to the original rules. Granted, the original prohibition is still there, and needs to be deleted, but at least the published rules reflect the way the game is played here. |
