Still the question remains...You had an engine and fuel and your opponent was gliding for 30 turns...and you were unsble to shoot them down
I'm not trying to insult because you ARE a very worthy pilot and peer. But this scenerio is very curious. I DO agree though-with fuel and/or engine disabled-this should only grant the pilot 3 more turns, then KABOOM! I hope this idea is seriously considered.

Personally I have made alot of kills after both my opponent and my engines were gone. I would hate to only have 3 turns to try and gain position.
I am the first to admit I am not a historian. But I would find it hard to believe that any pilot who found his fuel or engine an issue would stay for any substantial period of time to complete a dogfight. Get the hell outta there comes to mind.
As far as this game goes...I too have made kills and even won games gliding around. Either I was on the other side of the board and had to make my way home or I had enough allies to divert attention from me. Luck has been on my side and against me. I do understand this is a game and winning is good. The odds of winning gliding around are against you unless your opponent is in the same position. Then it's turned into (in my opinion) a waste of time; a lot of ring-around-the-rosie. Now it's a question of the leaderboard.
Three turns, I'll also go for 5 turns, is fair. Especially if you have a opponent who makes 50 moves in a year. Keep the games moving.
